Comano has a shady aspect and offers really interesting climbing. The crag it is suitable for families with children thanks to a large level space at its foot.
Quality of rock
The rock is very compact and the climbing is on small edges and flakes. The wall is slightly overhanging and the climbs at the higher grades are often characterised by single hard sections on small holds.
Comano faces west, therefore it is often below zero in winter. In summer it is shaded and the temperature is usually ideal.
Number of routes / grades
There are 27 routes from 4b to 8a, most routes are from 6c to 7a.
From Ponte Arche, just before the bridge, turn left towards Comano. Reaching Comano pass beyond the Hotel Panoramica and take the road towards Monte Casale. 300 metres after the second turn park near a cairn on the left. The crag is just visible along the path.
