The excursions are organized by the SAT group (Trentino Alpine Club) of Ponte Arche.
The scale of difficulty for hiking has been introduced by the CAI (Italian Alpine Club) according to the following characteristics:
Type of route
Type of ground
Characteristics of the ground
Gradient and development
Stiffness of the path
Possible difficulties in bearings
Highest point to be reached
The ten rules of the hiker
T = Tourist path.
Easy path or forest roads, very evident, not posing problems with bearings, suitable for beginners.
E = Hiking.
Path without technical difficulties on variable ground, usually well marked, sometimes long, even rough and bumpy; can sometimes include prepared crossings which do not require special equipment. Some experience and training are required.
EE = for Expert Hikers.
Marked path, over more treacherous ground, at altitudes even elevated, with open stretches. A good knowledge of the mountain world is highly recommended.
EEA = for Equipped Expert Hikers.
These are routes and prepared paths with frequent open stretches. They call up for the know how of safety measures.
